Community Relations

Hello Ladies!
We are super excited to be your Community Service Prefects for 2010; it's going to be a great year.

Our main focus for this year is going to be World Vision, so we'd love everyone to be involved with fundraising events for this organisation. This year we want to raise much more than the Boys' College for this great cause ...not that we're competing or anything! Every cent counts, so do your bit and take part in the 40 Hour Famine or help us out with fundraising activities.

Another part of our role as Community Service Prefects is to promote service type activities within our community. There are plenty of places around town which could do with a helping hand, so we want to encourage everyone to give volunteering a go. It's a fun, rewarding thing to do, so get out there and see what you can do for Marlborough.

A new branch of the Community Service team this year is the management of the SADD (Students Against Driving Drunk) Committee. This is an awesome group so if you're keen to be a part of this, listen out for notices throughout the year.

The final job we have is to assist with our Senior School Leaders, helping them settle into their roles such as gate duty and positive role modelling.

We're looking forward to a fantastic year, and we hope you all are too.
