This year we have 17 girls on our committee. We have regular meetings every Tuesday lunch time and lunch activities every second Tuesday. The international committee is like a big family because we meet regularly and therefore build up friendships and share interests and ideas. We have really good team work and organize activities to represent international groups to other students.

This year we have organized lots of activities to our international girls and also the Kiwi girls at MGC. For the international girls and the committee we have held: a Wellington Trip, Marea Camp, International Week, Movie Night, a trip to Whites Bay, an Un-Birthday Party, a Dance Evening and a Christmas Party. We have organised a special programme for the exchange students that do not sit the NCEA exams at the end of term four. For the Lunch time activities we have had International Week, an International Quiz, an International Shared Lunch, International Movies and International Dance.

 Also the international committee supports the international girls when they need help with school work and help the new students to settle in at MGC.

The committee is a valuable asset to MGC as it breaks down barriers between the international and Kiwi students. I have really enjoyed being a part of this committee. Kenness Chan, International Prefect.
