I'm really thrilled to call myself Marlborough Girls' College's Head of Council Prefect for the year. In some ways, I'm still coming to terms with the fact that my days at Marlborough Girls' are numbered so I'm eager to make 2010 the most incredible and productive year possible. My responsibilities as Head of Council Prefect include the organising and running of School Council with this year's form captains. Meetings will be held regularly through lunch times and intervals, announced through the morning notices. At meetings, regular discussion will be held about youth issues within the school and wider community. These will be open forums where form captains will bring opinions and ideas from form classes and as a group we will come up with solutions or take any discussions to a higher level.

I will liaise often with Ms Chamberlain and the Board of Trustees Prefect, Lily Harvey, to ensure that Student Council members views and concerns are being followed through at a higher level at BOT Meetings and with the MDC Youth Council. This is going to be an amazing year, so let's stand out, speak up and take charge. There's only ever going to be one 2010, so let's make it count!
