Sports Photography Competition

 If you are involved in a sports team or enjoy watching games, you can take some snap shots and enter them in a sports photography competition

There are two categories;

1.       Action Shot

2.       What Photo best describes your sporting trip

To enter, write your name and form class and caption on back of your 4x6 photo put it in the ‘Sports Photography Competition’ box in the student office.

Each month myself, Mrs Gallop and Mr Fleming will select a winner which will be put on the Sports board. At the end of the year and overall winner for each categories will win a prize.

As I take on the role as sports prefect for 2010, I have many new ideas I want to implement, while continuing the tradition of Active Fridays and building on the 30 mins a day initiative. With the help of my interest committe, I hope to get everyone active and make students aware of the sports they can play.

I would also like to encourage the juniors to get active and run games and competitions at lunchtime. These will includeskipping, double-dutch basketball, shooting, 4 corner hockey, dodgeball and many more.

I would really like to place emphasis on promoting sporting achievements this year and acknowledge the hard yards  our sports stars put in.

I am really looking forward to a successful sporting year with the enthusiastic MGC sporting girls.
