Hey everyone
Kim, Melissa and Shannon here!
We are your Student Support Prefects for 2011 and our job is to ensure you have a fantastic time at College, free of bullying, stress and hard times. We look after the Peer Supporters, MSAV, SADD, SASS and the Health Committee along with the girls in our Student Support Committee.
At the end of last term we had a mufti day - PINK SHIRT DAY - where all the girls at the college dressed in pink mufti in order to show that as a student body we are against bullying at MGC. On the day we had a pink bake sale, chalk drawing, guess the lollies in the jar, loud music from the school's radio station as a well as a giant pink t-shirt that girls could sign to show that they are against bullying here at MGC!! We raised almost $2000 on the day, all of which has been given to Marlborough Womens' Refuge!! So a big thank you to all those who helped out and made this day successful.

This term we will be focussing on student well being, by having activities at lunch times such as yoga and Zumba in order for students to relax and get away from the stresses of school life. We will also be opening a Student Support Clinic in the seminar room in the guidance suite, Tuesdays at lunch times, for girls who want to talk out any problems with our peer supporters or just hang out, so bring your friends and your lunch!!
We look forward to having an awesome term 2!!
So get involved, and enjoy every moment and opportunity you have!!
