ROAD SAFETY

Dear Parents /Caregivers

We would like to alert you to three major concerns and consequential requests about road safety around the College.

1. Some girls are crossing the roads around school with little regard for oncoming traffic. Please cross McLauchlan Street only on the crossing outside school, following road safety rules.

2. Some girls who bike to school are coming out onto Nelson Street with little regard for the traffic. Please observe road rules by stopping and looking to see whether it is safe to cross the road or merge into traffic.

3. Some drivers are illegally parking and creating potential danger.
Motor drivers please observe safety by
• Not parking in the bus bay area
• Not entering the staff car park area
• Not double parking on McLauchlan Street or anywhere around the College
• Not parking on yellow lines around car park entrances.
Please carry out our requests about driving cars and please speak to your daughters to reinforce both our driver and pedestrian safety instructions. We DO NOT want to see any accidents or injuries.

We have asked the local police to monitor traffic safety closely around the College.
