The start of a new year is often an anxious time for us students; new subjects, classes, even a new school for some or introduction to NCEA, but with the new year also comes new opportunities and the possibility to create ourselves an amazing year.
The best way to ensure we have a successful year is to be organised right from the start. Set and keep track of goals, record and complete homework and stay on top of notes and assignments. The more effort you put in now, the more it will pay off later in the year. I know it sounds cliché, but it’s definitely worked for me over the years!
2010 promises to be a great year, with a passionate and enthusiastic prefect team ready to get things done and make a difference. I am thoroughly looking forward to working with them this year; however, I see my role as more of a supporter to these girls as they set and work to achieve their interest specific goals for 2010.
The year will start moving faster and faster as we settle in to our classes and extra-curricular activities, as well as events such as expo day, world vision fundraisers and house athletics on the way. I am definitely looking forward to seeing all the house spirit that day, with everyone participating and dressed up in house colours.
Good luck to everyone, let’s start the year strong!
