Help to create a sense of belonging for every student and champion student wellbeing and learning success. Whānau teachers know your student’s strengths and work in is your main go to person. Your Whānau teacher will monitor your overall progress, contact your family/whānau to talk about your wellbeing and help you make the most of the opportunities and connections here at MGC.

Guide you to develop knowledge and understanding in their particular subject areas through a variety of course options. They are part of your journey to develop creativity, curiosity and persistence in your learning. Our Classroom Teachers have high expectations of behaviour in the classroom so that the best possible learning environment is available for all of our learners.

Are responsible for and have oversight of all matters relating to your year group. They work with a member of the Senior Leadership Team who have oversight of that year level (Head of Level).

Is available to all learners and will assist you with career planning. Learners, parents/whānau and staff are able to refer learners for an appointment. Our Careers Advisor can provide information and support in exploring your options both within school and for when you leave.
