Year 8 Get to know you kōrero

Next week we welcome Year 8 students to our Marlborough Girls’ College community at our ‘Get to know you kōrero’
As part of our transition for all students to Year 9 at MGC, we want to meet with all our Year 8’s to find out about their interests, strengths and learning. The kōrero will be with one of our staff members for 10 minutes and will be held in the New Library at MGC from Monday 11 November to Thursday 14 November, 3.30 – 5pm.
Te Riu o Te Wairau – Māori Whānau Class
In Te Riu o Te Wairau you will belong to a whānau class where te reo māori is the taonga that will enhance your identity, wellbeing and learning.
If you would like to know more, please book a time with Nan and Whaea Allyson, through our system (see below) or email allyson.court@mgc.school.nz for a suitable time to meet.
Uniform Shop
We will also have our Uniform Shop open during these times so you can pre order your uniform. The uniform shop is next to our Library, Entrance 4 at the Bohally end of the school on McLauchlan Street.

Please note, you may not get the staff member you booked with – there will be a range of staff available throughout the week (the teachers used were for booking purposes).
If you are unable to book online, please phone the school on 03 520 8448 and speak with Collette, our Receptionist. She will be happy to support you. Alternatively you can talk with your Year 8 teacher, they can also support you in this process.
